Last day of Sale-a-Bration - what fun it has been

Hello everyone
Just wanted to pop in on this last day (31st March) of Sale-a-Bration for another year (sigh..) and show you one of the sets in the 2nd release that has become a favourite of mine. When you spend $90.00 before postage it is a set that you can choose but only online until just before midnight today.
It is the Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set that comes in either wood (147335) or clear mount (147338). It reminds me of a retired set called Gorgeous Grunge that I loved using.

Eclectic Expressions Clear-Mount Stamp Set
Love the way you can use the different shapes in this set.
The card below is a take on the popular eclipse card except it doesn't use single letters. An Eclipse card is where you stamp the background with whatever you would like. You then cut the word or letters out and then pop them up on Stampin' Dimensionals. If you look closely I have stuck the middle of the 'b' and 'a' down flat.

I used the word celebrate from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.

Celebrate You Thinlit Dies

Now these Dies will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue that becomes available on 1st June. For us Demos going to Onstage next weekend we will receive our catalogue early - can't wait!

If you don't have a Demonstrator in Australia and would like a catalogue drop me a line at

mareescards@gmail.com

Until next time
Happy stamping

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 47 -

Hi and welcome to our 47th hop.

You may have landed here or hopped across from the delightful
Allison McLeod and I can't wait to see
what she has made this fortnight
These hops occur fortnightly and Teneale gives us a sketch
that we all work with.
Now here is the sketch for this fortnight
I wasn't quite sure what to make with this sketch

I decided to use the Fancy Frost Speciality DSP. I sponged a circle over the DSP using Dapper Denim.

I then cut the circle from one of the Delicate White Doilies and sponged it in place which gave a deeper blue to the area. Guess what I cut two doilies instead of one - sometimes hard to pull apart!!!
Then I stamped the Birthday Blooms rose and coloured it in using a Blender pen and Dapper Denim ink. Used a mixture of greens for the leaves including Old Olive.
I then cut the rose and left only the main flower and leaves
to stick on my card!
I was a bit naughty as I didn't add a sentiment....

Thank you for joining us tonight.
Please take the time to hop around all the blogs.
Now it is onto the gorgeous

Barbara Williams and I can't wait to see what she has made

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 45 -

Welcome to our INKspired blog hop - still recovering from a great OnStage Live event in Brisbane
(I will put up some pics later in week as only got home
last night - been visiting!)
Please take a moment to enjoy all the creations that have been made.
You may have hopped across from the delightful
Allison and I can't wait to see what she has made.
Every two weeks Teneale Williams gives us a sketch that we all have to use.
I had to use the Merry Mice Stampset - they are so cute.

Started with Dapper Denim as the main cardstock and then applied the Very Vanilla cardstock and roughed the edges of the top layer with my fingernail. Cut out Merry from the Dapper Denim. Stamped the mouse in Archival Basic Gray as mice are a gray colour and then coloured in using the Neutrals and Brights markers with the Blender pen.

Adhered some Basic Pearl Jewels to the card. I  cut the top layer of Very Vanilla into  two pieces before roughing the edges.

Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto Artisan Louise Sharp.
Congratulations Lou on being chosen as one of the
Artisans for the 2017 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team - what an honour!

WWYS Challenge #80 // Swirly Bird.

Hi and welcome to my blog
I love the Swirly Bird stampset and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits that coordinates.
I noticed that What Will You Stamp was using the stampset
Swirly Bird - I just had to join in
Do go across to WWYS#80 Swirly Bird and see
the creations that have been uploaded.

For my card
I wanted to use some spring colours
with  flowers (handcut them) and boats
sailing on a lake with dragonflies buzzing around.

Hope you enjoyed another way of using
 Swirly Bird stampset.

Bye for now

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 40 -

Hi everyone and welcome.
Thanks for joining us on this 40th INKspired sketch
 blog hop.
You may have hopped across from
the delightful Allison
Grab a cuppa or a glass of something smooth
and enjoy the journey with us
Now here is the sketch that Teneale has given us
this fortnight

Love it,  now what to use for this card
I wanted to use the Floral Affection Embossing Folders.
Started with Dapper Denim as the main card.
Used the Dapper Denim DSP  to have behind
the vanilla cardstock that I had embossed.
Used both embossing folders from the Floral Affection embossing folders

I did have single pics of these two cards but the gremlins .....
Now here are the single pics of the two cards

Love how the Happy Birthday fitted in between the embossing!

The Happy Birthday stamp came from the stampset
below called Cottage Greetings

Thanks for stopping by
Now it is onto the gorgeous Barb
and I love the cards she makes
