INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 21 -

Welcome everyone to our 21st Blog Hop. If you have just joined then don't forget to hop around everyone. If you hopped across from the delightful Marlene Goulder I am sure she has shown us a beautiful card. Don't forget to leave some words of love as it is Marlene's 100th Blog Post - Congratulations Marlene.
It was snowing last fortnight and it is again this weekend -  but at least the sun has peaked out thank goodness! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that left comments on the last hop - they were greatly appreciated.
Now onto the sketch that Teneale has given us:

Now here is what I made. Am loving Watermelon Wonder ink, cardstock and ribbon which I have used on this card. Used the flower from the stamp set Butterfly Basics and coloured it with the markers and huffed on it to remoisten prior to stampin on the whisper white cardstock. Then used a Blender pen to apply a little more colour to the flowers and leaves. A strip from the Cherry on Top designer paperstack which is beautiful.

When I used the Lucky Stars embossing folder I used the debossed (is that a word?) stars so that they sat inwards.A thin strip of watermelon wonder that I put under the tag. I changed from the sketch but still had the elements.

Hope you enjoyed my card, if you did let me know!

Thank you for joining us on our hop.

Now it is onto the gorgeous Renee Lynch

I can't wait to see what she has done...

Tip when using Markers
When applying colour from the marker direct to the stamp always have marker at an angle so that you don't squash the nib of your marker.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 20 -

Hello and welcome everyone. You may have hopped across from the delightful Marlene Goulder and I can't wait to see what she has done this hop. You are in for a surprise this week as Teneale is giving away the Pretty Thankful stampset but to be included in the draw you have to leave a comment on everyone's blog. So join in and you maybe the lucky winner. Good luck everyone! Here is a pic of the stampset

Here is the sketch that Teneale has done

What to do with this sketch.....I did find it hard at first. I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp, I always try to show how to use a stamp set in a few different ways - it makes it so versatile. Used it with three of the new In colors and stamped off once the Tip Top Taupe and the Mint Macaron before stamping onto whisper white and the butterfly had to be Watermelon Wonder - lovin' that colour! The Designer Series Paper is from the Cherry On Top paper stack which I love. My apologies for my bad photo but snowing here and the light is very poor!

Thank you for stopping by and now it is onto the lovely Narelle Macey
Can't wait to see what she has made

Awesomely Artistic Dragonfly Birthday Card

I am developing a love for sketches and how to use them. I found this one at Sketch Frenzy Friday that I wanted to use for a class I was doing, so thank you  Kim Innis for this one.
I love how they give you a fortnight to play and upload.

I found it hard not to do butterflies as I love them but I figured the dragonflys would look good on my birthday card.I had a picture of a hole in the tree and looking at the ferns and the rays of sunshine on the other side.

Close up of the dragonflys that I stamped with Early Espresso Ink on the new In Color Tip Top Taupe cardstock and then used some crystal effects on them.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 19 -

I always love to show you a pic from the area I live in and love, sorry no animals this time.

Welcome everyone, a fortnight seems to go so quickly and we are onto our next hop. You may have hopped across from the delightful Louise Sharp and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.

Our sketch that Teneale Williams has given us

I love the flower in the stampset Crazy About You. I stamped it in Watermelon Wonder a few times on Very Vanilla cardstock. I cut one out using the Starburst framelits. I then cut each flower layer out and popped them up with dimensionals. Put a pearl in the centre of the flower. I then placed a piece of the Watermelon Wonder Lace behind the starburst. I kept it simple to reflect on the flower itself.
I originally had a very vanilla layer on the card then I swapped it for a layer of Pink Pirouette. Still not sure - what do you think?

Thank you for stopping by on this blog hop. Don't forget to hop all the way around.

Now it is onto Narelle Macey

and I am sure her card will be amazing..can't wait to see it.

Wedding Card - For the New Two

I had a request to make a card for a wedding where the person had asked for cream or vanilla card with lots of gold embossing. Saw the TGIF challenge 08 and decide I would like to share my card in the challenge.
I embossed the background in gold on Very Vanilla card stock. It was hard to get a good pic of the embossing. Then embossed the Mr & Mrs in gold as well which is from the "For the New Two" stamp set.
The floral background was a stamp that had been requested from the Occasions Catalogue called Something Lacey that sadly did not carry over into the new catalogue.
Used some of the beautiful Venetian Crochet Trim and tied Gold Metallic Bakers Twine over it.

Sprinkles of Life Birthday card

Hi Everyone. I find using challenges and sketches gives a good starting point to work with when making a card. This sketch from Freshly Made Sketches caught my eye.

Started with a Very Vanilla main card
A strip of DSP on the side.
Turned my oval sideways into a hill and placed my trees on the hill and stamped some cute watermelon tops for them with sprinkles on top..
Used real cake sprinkles for the top of my trees and some of the new In Colors inks.

I used the new Sprinkles of Life photopolymer stamp set which is a versatile set. $3.00 from every set sold in Australia goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities - such a good cause.
