INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 36 -

Welcome to our blog hop this fortnight.
Thanks for joining in and please do take the time to hop around all the posts
You may have hopped across from Narelle
and I always love what she makes.
I was lucky enough to be out walking with my camera
and came across this echnida..
Look how long his beak is - he was too busy finding ants to be scared of me!

Teneale has designed a lovely sketch this fortnight

I started with my base card of Pink Pirouette. I adhered my long sections of Pink Pirouette onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock which I ran thru the Big Shot using the gorgeous Softly Falling textured Embossing Folder
I actually debossed it (the dots are inwards)
I then adhered onto another layer of Basic Black

I had stamped the lovely flower from the Birthday Blooms stampset onto Shimmery White cardstock using the Basic Black Archival stampin' pad.
I then watercoloured it in using the Aqua Painters
(Make sure it is dry before you add the next layer of colour)
I then fussy cut the flower out and adhered over the panels.
The words Just because come from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and were stamped using the Black Archival ink onto the Pink Pirouette cardstock with a piece of Venetian Crochet Trim attached underneath.
I do like that bit of lace peeking out.....

This card will be in the mail tommorrow
to my niece, Cassandra whose birthday it is today.
Happy happy birthday Cassie.xxx

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 35 - A Surprise!

Hi Everyone
and welcome to our INKspired Blog hop number 35.
You may have joined the hop here so welcome or you may have hopped
across from the delightful Narelle
can't wait to see what she makes this fortnight!

Here is the sketch Teneale has given us....
Well it was a surprise because I didn't know what
to make....
and I ended up making two cards as I wasn't happy with
the first one.

I wanted to use Rose Red cardstock as the base
and had to use the lovely Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack
The picture above shows the crumbcake DSP
It was the oval I was having the block on!
I layered the DSP onto a smaller piece of Rose Red and attached a
piece of the Venetian Crochet Trim
over the DSP.
I rarely use the Garden Green ink for my cards
BUT it was one of the colours on the front of the
DSP paperstack - Love how Stampin' Up! put the colours on!
I cut my Whisper White oval out and sponged around the edge with Rose Red
Stamped the leaves from Grateful Bunch Stampset
onto the oval and stamped the set of three flowers
from same set in Rose Red, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight
and punched them out with the Blossom Bunch Punch (So easy).

Placed dimensionals under the oval and then used mini glue dots to adhere my flowers with.
I used the words Wish Big from the
A Dozen Thoughts stampset
On one card you will see that I used
Pearls for the flower centres instead of one at each end of the oval (perhaps I am a Rebel!)
and for the other card used the gorgeous

It's My Party Enamel Dots on the flowers of course!
Below I have a picture of them together
Let me know which card you like....

Some old fashioned Red Roses that have the most beautiful perfume.
Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto the wonderful Barbara and I am not guessing what she has
made this week
but I do know it will be beautiful

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 27 -

Welcome everyone to our 27th INKspired sketch blog hop.
You may have hopped across from Narelle Macey and I'm wondering if it will be another cute christmas card? The weeks are counting down to christmas so I need to increase my christmas card making starting today!
We looked outside today to see our Blue Heeler looking out thru the fence intently, thinking we had another snake we went looking fast...
Only to see an echinda scratching at an old stump to get to the ants! Thank goodness

Echinda

Tess - Blue Heeler

Now onto the sketch that Teneale has given us to work with this fortnight. What to do......

I choose the stamp set first - To You and Yours Too which is a photopolymer set. Then wanted to use as the main card - Island Indigo and the Bohemian DSP matches. Then used very vanilla card stock and stamped the tree (which is my star) in old olive. Used the lovely Venetian Crochet trim. Kept it very simple.I layered that all on another piece of very vanilla card stock. Did the first one without words - kept it simple!

Than the second card with words at the top and a wider vanilla front.
Now an inside shot - I usually forget to catch a pic of the inside.

Thank you for visiting..

Now it is onto Kabrina to see what she has in store for us

Wedding Card - For the New Two

I had a request to make a card for a wedding where the person had asked for cream or vanilla card with lots of gold embossing. Saw the TGIF challenge 08 and decide I would like to share my card in the challenge.
I embossed the background in gold on Very Vanilla card stock. It was hard to get a good pic of the embossing. Then embossed the Mr & Mrs in gold as well which is from the "For the New Two" stamp set.
The floral background was a stamp that had been requested from the Occasions Catalogue called Something Lacey that sadly did not carry over into the new catalogue.
Used some of the beautiful Venetian Crochet Trim and tied Gold Metallic Bakers Twine over it.

INKSpired Sketch Blog Hop 17 -

Mountain parrot eating last of the berries
Hello and welcome to my blog. You may have hopped across from the lovely Lissa  Carter and I can't wait to see what she has created this fortnight.
Please take the time to hop around all the blogs as everyone creates something beautiful and we appreciate you dropping in.

Here is the sketch for this one

Well I turned the sketch sideways as I had a stampset in mind that I hadn't used yet.
I wanted to use the Lanterns out of the stamp set "Today & Everyday" and colour them in bright colours. Some sponging with a dauber around the embossed cardstock wanting a darker edge.

Thanks for stopping by

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 10 -

Hello and welcome everyone to the next INKspired blog hop which happens to be No. 10. You may have hopped across from the delightful Marlene Goulder's blog and I am sure that her card was amazing. Please do take the time to hop around all the blogs as everyone does a fantastic job. Comments are always appreciated and we love to receive them.
Special thank you to Di & Darrell for letting me use their computer systems to get my blog uploaded for this week as my computer decided to die today(Saturday)..I was loving all the computer monitor screens and having everything opened at once

Here is the sketch that Teneale has given us for No. 10

I wasn't sure what to do with the star but had a few ideas and this is what I have come up with. I am loving the new Occasions catalogue, hope you are as well and so excited as its SAB time, so for every $90 you spend you get to choose something free from the SAB catalogue. How good is that!!
I wanted to use the Blendabilities using Crumbcake cardstock- embossed the flower in white then coloured with Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight and added some white gel dots to the centre. Let me know what you think?

Inside of my card

Thank you for dropping by . See you in two weeks time

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 2 - Wetlands

Hello and welcome across from Marlene Goulder on this second INKspired Sketch Blog Hop.
Not so nervous this fortnight but fingers crossed that no little gremlins get into the blog hop....
My card this week was one that I had been developing for the "womens conference" group.(a delightful group that enjoys much laughter, smiles & jokes)

Teneale Williams has given us another cute sketch to play with:

My card does not have any words on the front so I can use it when needed. Main cardstock is crumbcake with another layer of same embossed and sponged.
I then cut a small piece of  vanilla and embossed the birds from Wetlands in black and then started sponging the inks on. Scalloped a piece of soft sky and added the Venetian crochet trim over it. Then added a piece of Moonlight DSP and a sliver of Lost Lagoon.I wanted the glow of sunset coming from the clouds...what do you think?

I sat the card in a pot of flowering bulbs to have a bit more colour surrounding the card.

Thank you for stopping by and now it is onto...
