Awesomely Artistic Dragonfly Birthday Card

I am developing a love for sketches and how to use them. I found this one at Sketch Frenzy Friday that I wanted to use for a class I was doing, so thank you  Kim Innis for this one.
I love how they give you a fortnight to play and upload.

I found it hard not to do butterflies as I love them but I figured the dragonflys would look good on my birthday card.I had a picture of a hole in the tree and looking at the ferns and the rays of sunshine on the other side.

Close up of the dragonflys that I stamped with Early Espresso Ink on the new In Color Tip Top Taupe cardstock and then used some crystal effects on them.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 19 -

I always love to show you a pic from the area I live in and love, sorry no animals this time.

Welcome everyone, a fortnight seems to go so quickly and we are onto our next hop. You may have hopped across from the delightful Louise Sharp and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.

Our sketch that Teneale Williams has given us

I love the flower in the stampset Crazy About You. I stamped it in Watermelon Wonder a few times on Very Vanilla cardstock. I cut one out using the Starburst framelits. I then cut each flower layer out and popped them up with dimensionals. Put a pearl in the centre of the flower. I then placed a piece of the Watermelon Wonder Lace behind the starburst. I kept it simple to reflect on the flower itself.
I originally had a very vanilla layer on the card then I swapped it for a layer of Pink Pirouette. Still not sure - what do you think?

Thank you for stopping by on this blog hop. Don't forget to hop all the way around.

Now it is onto Narelle Macey

and I am sure her card will be amazing..can't wait to see it.

Wedding Card - For the New Two

I had a request to make a card for a wedding where the person had asked for cream or vanilla card with lots of gold embossing. Saw the TGIF challenge 08 and decide I would like to share my card in the challenge.
I embossed the background in gold on Very Vanilla card stock. It was hard to get a good pic of the embossing. Then embossed the Mr & Mrs in gold as well which is from the "For the New Two" stamp set.
The floral background was a stamp that had been requested from the Occasions Catalogue called Something Lacey that sadly did not carry over into the new catalogue.
Used some of the beautiful Venetian Crochet Trim and tied Gold Metallic Bakers Twine over it.

Sprinkles of Life Birthday card

Hi Everyone. I find using challenges and sketches gives a good starting point to work with when making a card. This sketch from Freshly Made Sketches caught my eye.

Started with a Very Vanilla main card
A strip of DSP on the side.
Turned my oval sideways into a hill and placed my trees on the hill and stamped some cute watermelon tops for them with sprinkles on top..
Used real cake sprinkles for the top of my trees and some of the new In Colors inks.

I used the new Sprinkles of Life photopolymer stamp set which is a versatile set. $3.00 from every set sold in Australia goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities - such a good cause.

Kookaburras waiting for dinner!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. You may have hopped across from Louise's blog and I can't wait to see what she has made this fortnight. I am sure there will be pink somewhere.

Here is the sketch we have

Now onto what I have made
A close up of the spray of flowers - they are so cute
I used the new stamp set Awesomely Artistic which I love and I was going to have some Dragonflys on the card but kept cutting their wings off! I think I was tired so resorted to the Bitty Butterflys  punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper instead. I stamped the flowers in Memento Ink then used the Blender Pen to colour the flowers and leaves in with no problems. I used Crushed Curry ink for the centre of the flowers to give it a pop.

Thank you for stopping by.

Now it is onto Narelle Macey to see what special card she has in store for us

Monster Birthday Card made for a cute Boy

Hello everyone. Made this card for a cute 4 year old boy. It is made with a retired Stampin' Up stamp set, can you guess which one? Had to find some google eyes and these were a great find as they have eyelashes - how cute are they! Just had to give you a close up of them.

1. Main card is Pacific Point.
2. Front is Whisper White. I sponged around it with Pacific Point.
3. The inks I used for the four Monster faces were Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist and lastly Tempting Turquoise.
4. The words were stamped in Memento Black ink.
5. Used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to stick the eyes on with. Strong bond and dries clear
