INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 30 -

Hello everyone and welcome to our 30th INKspired Blog hop
You may have hopped across from Narelle and I am not going to even guess what theme
she has used this week as I was wrong last time!
This week Teneale has given us an interesting sketch - I wasn't sure what I would do with it.....
Then I had a lightbulb moment
thank goodness!

I swung the sketch around as I wanted to colour in again (are u addicted to colouring as I am!)
I embossed the Perfect Peacock in black on Whisper White cardstock. I then coloured in with Brights and Subtles markers. I sponged around the white to soften it with Marina Mist. Love the word stamp with the same name as the stampset - I think You're Great. I added a strip of Marina Mist cardstockthat I had embossed with the Woodland textured Embossing Folder and attached the word circle to it. I sponged the circle a bit more to make the colour more intense.

Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto Kabrina and I can't wait to see what she has made
See you next hop

Stampin' Up! On Stage Melbourne - Reason for the Season

Hi Everyone
On saturday (14th November) I was enjoying the first Stampin' Up! OnStage event which was fantastitic. I went to Melbourne but you could have gone to any of the venues around the world. There was only Melbourne or Perth in Australia.
Sat at a table with a group of delightful women from SA and we had fun making what was demonstrated and took lots of pictures. Thank you for a great day.
The delightful Joy Smelt was making tags for the NES (New Elite Stampers) team
and I felt I needed to make a card for her and then a few swaps....
So on thursday night sick as I was (had already cancelled a cardclass)
started cutting and figured that I could put them together on
friday night in Melbourne!!
I decided to cut the flower out and stick it onto a basic black wreath cut using Wonderful Wreath framelits.
Stamped with the new  basic black archival ink.
I used the ponsettia from the Reason for the Season stamp set which  I stamped on whisper white cardstock in the basic black archival ink and then used the rose red ink for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves. I used the Daffodil Delight marker to colour in the centre of the flower.
I used Rose Red card stock as the base for the card front and stamped the words in the bottom right hand corner . In the picture below I have added it to a Whisper White main card  - a quick card except for the fussy cutting!

Now I am going to show you a few of the swaps I received. Unfortunately a few did not have any names attached to them so in that case I have typed unknown. If you know who made it leave their name in the comment section below.

I will put a few more up with some photos from the day next time.
I hope you have enjoyed these

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 29 -

Hi Everyone, thanks for joining us on our next hop - #INK029.
You may have hopped across
from Narelle Macey and I can't wait to see her gorgeous creation.
Just a quick pic of one of our baby kangaroos who has had to make way for a new baby so is not allowed back in the pouch (he keeps trying, lol) but mum is keeping him close.
She then hopped around the corner of the neighbours fence, sorry about the pic but she wouldn't let us get any closer. Now onto the sketch!

Teneale (my amazing upline) has given us
a fantastic sketch this fortnight, love it.

Here is what I decided to do
Love two step stampin'
so chose the beautiful Reason for the Season stamp set.
I wanted a different shape sitting behind the flower so cut a wreath using the
Wonderful Wreath Framelits from
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
Blushing Bride is the main card and used a second layer
embossed using the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder.
Stamped the flower using the new Basic Black Archival Stampin' pad as I was thinking of water colouring BUT changed my mind and then used Rose Red for the flower with Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves.
A girl can change her mind....right!
I used the Multipurpose glue to stick the flower to the Glimmer wreath
and then used dimensionals to pop it up.

I also remembered to take a picture of the inside

Now it is onto
Kabrina to see what she has made for us
