True Love INKspired Showcase challenge 133 -

Hi and welcome to our sunday night hop tonight is a showcase challenge. You may have come

across from Katrina Healy and I can't wait to see what she has made.

Well I love flowers and I love colouring with my Stampin' Blends so it was which flowers do I choose.

Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green were my Stampin' Blends Colours. This is great dsp to grab a pack of to make heaps of cards with.

Chose Melon Mambo cardstock as my base. Added a layer of Basic Black that had been embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.

Coloured my three flowers with the light and dark Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends. The leaves with both light and dark Granny Apple Green. Fussy cut them from the dsp - Love these flowers to colour in.

Used the Happy Birthday from the Art Gallery Bundle as I love the squiggly cutout (not sure what it's real name is)  from that die set. Popped the Happy Birthday down on the Basic Black and then popped the flowers up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

I did add some pearls to this card but after I had taken the pictures....

Thank you for stopping by and now it is onto Allison McLeod.

Until next time
Happy stamping, stay safe and
be kind to one another.

Playful Pets Designer Series Paper (DSP) -

Hi everyone welcome to my blog. On Saturday Michele Jutrisa gave us a sketch challenge to use and I didn't quite get my cards finished on the day - so much was happening.

You can see the sketch below that we all had to use.

Image may contain: text that says 'Card Sketch Challenge Create a card card using this simple sketch. Make it your own! own! When your done post it in the comments below..'
I am loving the Pampered Pets Bundle on page 42 and the Playful Pets DSP on page 149. I had them out on the table so couldn't resist using them again. I will show you the cute cat at a later time.

The above puppy dog is cut out with the dies but you have to fussy cut the others  OR cheat as I did below where I used an oval to cut the sausage dog out with.

Used Basic Black & Real Red cardstock for the cards with the DSP.

Measurements I used are:

- Base is Basic Black - 14.8 x 10.5 (once folded)
- Next layer was DSP 14.3 x 10cm
- Real Red strip was 11.8 x 5cm and attached to it was
- DSP strip 11.3 x 4.5 cm glued to the card
- a Real Red strip 1cm wide and 10cm long
- Basic Black scalloped oval and the dog was cut with the die and popped up on dimensionals

Thank you for popping in

Until next time
Happy stamping, stay safe and
be kind to one another.

Beautiful Friendship in Black & White

Hi everyone
Had a lovely day yesterday making cards for challenges we were given by the lovely Michele Jutrisa.
This challenge was simply a black and white card.
I really wanted to use some colour even a tiny bit....but I resisted!
I started with the Beautiful Friendship stampset on page 115.

Love this set - it is more stunning in colour.

The black swirly shape behind the words is from the Painted Labels Dies - page 177
The words are from the Beautiful Friendship set itself - a favourite of mine.
Then a strip of Basic Black cardstock below the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by.

Until next time
Happy stamping, stay safe and
be kind to one another.

INKspired Sketch Blog hop 80 -

Hi and welcome to our INKspired blog hop this sunday night. The weather has been blowing a gale at times and very cold here in the Snowy Mountains - we have had -6 degrees C of a morning! It is winter so we have to expect the cold.
I have been missing from the blog hops due to issues with intermittent internet access but fingers crossed it has been fixed. So glad to be back and blogging again...
You may have come across from the delightful Allison and I am wondering what she has been making  for tonight - can't wait to see.
The sketch we all use is below and developed by Teneale for us to use.

Love the new Animal Outing stampset and teamed it with Berry Burst and Basic Black cardstock.

This giraffe is so cute and coloured with Stampin' Blends.
Run the smaller piece of Berry Burst through with the Layered Leaves Embossing folder - love using this folder!

Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto Barbara and I can't wait to see what she has made.

Until next time
Happy stamping

Stampin' Up! On Stage Melbourne - Reason for the Season

Hi Everyone
On saturday (14th November) I was enjoying the first Stampin' Up! OnStage event which was fantastitic. I went to Melbourne but you could have gone to any of the venues around the world. There was only Melbourne or Perth in Australia.
Sat at a table with a group of delightful women from SA and we had fun making what was demonstrated and took lots of pictures. Thank you for a great day.
The delightful Joy Smelt was making tags for the NES (New Elite Stampers) team
and I felt I needed to make a card for her and then a few swaps....
So on thursday night sick as I was (had already cancelled a cardclass)
started cutting and figured that I could put them together on
friday night in Melbourne!!
I decided to cut the flower out and stick it onto a basic black wreath cut using Wonderful Wreath framelits.
Stamped with the new  basic black archival ink.
I used the ponsettia from the Reason for the Season stamp set which  I stamped on whisper white cardstock in the basic black archival ink and then used the rose red ink for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves. I used the Daffodil Delight marker to colour in the centre of the flower.
I used Rose Red card stock as the base for the card front and stamped the words in the bottom right hand corner . In the picture below I have added it to a Whisper White main card  - a quick card except for the fussy cutting!

Now I am going to show you a few of the swaps I received. Unfortunately a few did not have any names attached to them so in that case I have typed unknown. If you know who made it leave their name in the comment section below.

I will put a few more up with some photos from the day next time.
I hope you have enjoyed these

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 15

Hello and welcome to our next blog hop we had a lovely three week break due to Easter but was I prepared definitely not....too many other things were happening over Easter. You may have hopped across from the delightful Marlene's blog and I am sure she had a wonderful card to show us all.

Here is the sketch Teneale has given us

Here is my card - I kept it simple.
I immediately turned the card sideways , used Real Red & Basic Black cardstock.
I gold embossed the circle stamp onto the Real Red cardstock - then attached them to the Sahara Sand lace.Used the Hello U thinlits and cut the word thanks from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (I would have done the words in gold but had used it all...sigh!).

Before we go just a quick pic of a frazzled mother who wants her baby to grow and not return to her pouch. I love how he wants to stay secure even thou mum's pouch is nearly on the ground! He only lasted another week then was stopped from hopping in. You may see that next time.

Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto Narelle  to see what she has in store for us
