Global Design Project #55 | Theme Challenge

I was making a card for a friend this long weekend
and nearly forgot to upload to the
as the theme is
My friend doesn't know this card is coming
so it is indeed a RAK.
Now here is my card - it has been a weekend for colouring in (when time has permitted..)
Loved using the Timeless Love stampset that
has great words and such lovely flowers
I don't use alot of Pacific Point cardstock
but it worked well with this card
and the Brights DSP.
Tips:
1. Made a standard card and then sliced a couple of cm's off the front which allowed the flower DSP to be shown.
2. Stamped some spots from the Gorgeous Grunge stampset in Versamark onto the front of the card.
3. Before I stamped the words and flower onto the Very Vanilla cardstock I placed the size of the circle framelit that I wanted to cut it with over the top - to see if it fitted in.

GDP Challenge 29 - You're So Lovely

Had some spare time this weekend so thought I would join in with the
# GDP029 challenge.
Hmmm, what were you thinking Bruno to put these colours together in a challenge!
Here is the colour challenge
Bruno set us all - why don't you give it ago
Just pop over to the Global Design Project page

I used Bermuda Bay for my main card.

Used the You're So Lovely stampset - love the Happy Birthday.
Sponged around the edge of the card in Early Espresso that had been sponged off first and then used the Tangelo Twist ink for more sponging.
The Timeless Texture stampset used the leaf stamp that I had inked up and stamped off twice till I had the softness I wanted in colour.
Used the dots from Gorgeous Grunge that had been stamped off for area inside the sponging.
Punched some flowers using the flower from  the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and topped them with pearls.
Had to sponge some Tangelo Twist ink onto the white cardstock as I had no Tangelo Twist cardstock left.

Thank you
for stopping by

Gorgeous Grunge meets Watercolor Wings - JAI#273

Hi everyone wanted to join in at Just Add Ink # 273 this week as they have a great colour combo to get us started with and here it is:
Love the colours but not sure if I have any smoky slate cardstock but I do have the ink.
I was thinking butterflies done in the first three colours with a Crumb Cake as my main card base.

Here is my card

Used Crumbcake as my base card, then whisper white cardstock and rounded the corners on the right side only.
Then used the Gorgeous Grunge and did some stripes in smokey slate and the butterflies from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar in the same.
Then did some fine splotches in Bermuda Bay  and Blackberry Bliss.
The main butterfly used the smokey slate stamped off once, then Blackberry Bliss on the edge and lastly the Bermuda Bay.
Cut out the Butterfly and then stamped the body in Smokey Slate which is  impossible to see as I covered it in rhinestones!

Tip when using the Watercolor Wings with the Bold Butterfly Framelits:
Stamp the Butterfly in two or three colours then cut out with the framelit.
It is easier then to see where to stamp the body of the butterfly as you have the shape there for you to see.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 4 -

Welcome everyone to my blog, you may have just hopped across from the lovely Marlene Goulder and you will have seen some beautiful cards that you can make as well on this and every hop. It is amazing how we all have such different styles.

Teneale has given us an interesting sketch this time as you can see below

I struggled at first on what I wanted to do with this sketch, I decided to simplify what I did and not overthink it (lol). After driving back from Sydney (5 hours later) and going from sweltering heat to freezing cold and needing to find warm clothes, the KISS principle looked good!!
Grabbed a pot of tea, (a Krispy Kreme doughnut fell out of the box I had bought for hubbie - a girl has to have a sugar hit when she is creating, right?) and came up with this.

Main card is Hello Honey, added whisper white and daffodil delight together  and then embossed with the Fancy Fan after I had stamped with crumbcake. Gorgeous Grunge splatter along the bottom and top of card. Linen thread tied into a bow thru a Regals button.

Thank you for coming and sharing in our Blog hop and we all love if you would share a few words with us in the comments section below.

Next hop is onto the talented Narelle Macey:
