GDP Challenge 29 - You're So Lovely

Had some spare time this weekend so thought I would join in with the
# GDP029 challenge.
Hmmm, what were you thinking Bruno to put these colours together in a challenge!
Here is the colour challenge
Bruno set us all - why don't you give it ago
Just pop over to the Global Design Project page

I used Bermuda Bay for my main card.

Used the You're So Lovely stampset - love the Happy Birthday.
Sponged around the edge of the card in Early Espresso that had been sponged off first and then used the Tangelo Twist ink for more sponging.
The Timeless Texture stampset used the leaf stamp that I had inked up and stamped off twice till I had the softness I wanted in colour.
Used the dots from Gorgeous Grunge that had been stamped off for area inside the sponging.
Punched some flowers using the flower from  the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and topped them with pearls.
Had to sponge some Tangelo Twist ink onto the white cardstock as I had no Tangelo Twist cardstock left.

Thank you
for stopping by

Inkspired Sketch Blog Hop 16

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Welcome to my blog on this our 16th Inkspired Sketch Blog Hop.You may have hopped across from Marlene's blog and I am sure she has shown us a gorgeous card.
We have been to the Stampin' Up Convention on the Gold Coast and we are all excited about the new cattie. Was a bit tired leading up to convention ...lots to do with making swaps, packing and scheduling.

Here is the sketch that Teneale has given us to work with:

Love this sketch and here is what I did

1. Standard card base made from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
2. Cut a strip of Daffodil Delight (DD) DSP and attached to a piece of the DD cardstock.
3. Stamped the flower from Regarding Dahlias in Calypso Coral and added some Daffodil Delight ink to it. This was on Whisper White cardstock. Then I sponged around the flower with the Calypso Coral ink to soften the white cardstock.
4. Attached it to a slightly larger piece of whisper white.
5. Cut the Burlap ribbon down as it was to wide.
6. I used the flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch set and punched two Daffodil Delight flowers that I sponged with Calypso Coral ink around the edge and added a Rhinestone in the middle to finish off.

Thank you for stopping by and now it is onto Narelle Macey
to see what delight she has brought us this hop

2015 Convention Swaps - Treat boxes made with Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

Can you guess the Colours used?

Hi Everyone
I thought I would show you one of my swaps for Stampin' Up Convention this year. It is being held on the Gold Coast and I will show pictures from there soon.
Last year I missed a combined day that Teneale & Marelle held. I loved the little treat boxes that Marelle had for the day. You can see the picture of them on Marelle's blog.

I thought they would make a great swap for Convention ( thanks Marelle for the idea). A lot of demonstrators bring a cardfront or whatever they have made to swap. It is a great time to meet new people and to catch up with old friends.

I cut a variety of cardstock  and used the Colour family DSP that matched.
Here is what I did:

1. Cut a strip of cardstock  measuring 5cm wide by 17.8cm long

2. Cut a strip of matching DSP measuring 3.2cm by 15.6cm long

3. Put the end of the cardstock into the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and punch both ends, making sure I feed the cardstock in evenly.(I turn the punch over to ensure that it is flush and even on both sides see below)

Turn over feed in,even then punch

Harder to see that you have it even when punching this way up

Note: To get the measurements to score at I placed the three tic tacs inside the c'stock  and pressed it around them, which made a mark on each side at the bottom of tic tacs, then pressed at the top on each side and pushed down on top which gave another mark. (see my very rough template made from copy paper)You could do this with any treat that is in a box - need to measure the treats and adapt measurements.

4. I then placed it on the SU cutter and scored the measurements that I had worked out.

Used a thin piece of cardstock to butt the punched end against to ensure I had the same measurements each time.

5. I placed the DSP around the sides of the cardstock(with treats inside) and slightly pressed at the corners.

Not finished yet - no tag or flowers! Still in production phase
6. I then used the 2-Way Glue Pen on both sides of cardstock and some down the edge of the DSP where it wraps over itself.

7. Place three of the Tic Tacs or other little treats inside cardstock and then wrap the DSP around.

8. Punch out some little flowers and some words to place on the front.

9. Some ribbon to tie the two sides together. Or you could use a small peg like Marelle has with a bow on top.

Now here is the finished swaps with my sister's dachshund  "Ginger" assisting, she is so cute but bosses all the cattle dogs around!

Will put a list up of product required when I return from Convention!
