Fancy fold card using Bird Ballad DSP & Free as a Bird

Hi everyone
I can now post this card as my sister Lee has received her birthday gift and card. I put the words thank you on the front of her card to say exactly that thanking her for being our sister for these 50 years and may we have many more together.

The Making a Difference stampset is great for putting numbers onto your cards and for spelling out a name. This set is carrying over to the new cattie which is great news.

Love the colours of Petal Pink & Soft Suede that go with the beautiful Bird Ballad designer series paper that is leaving us on the 2nd of June - so get in quick if you want to order it.

The Happy Birthday on the inside is from the Label Me Bold stampset that is in the Mini Catalogue that also finishes on the 2nd June - it is a great little set. The birds and words are from the Free as a Bird stampset.

Now just a close up of the inside of my card - love colouring in with the Blends.

Until next time
Happy stamping

Honey Bee card

Love the Honey Bee Bundle - beautiful bees and the cute flowers that go with the hive. Brought back memories of my childhood with the bees - so had to have this bundle. We had a few hives on the farm and Dad would get the smoker going when we had to raid the hives which was supposed to calm them down but they didn't like giving up their honey!

Started with Soft Suede main card and embossed the next layer of Soft Suede using the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder.

Used Mango Melody for the honeycomb and pushed some of the hexagons out. Stamped the bees using Memento ink and coloured in their stripes with Stampin' Blend Dark Mango Melody.

Hope you had a wonderful Easter staying at home - catching up with jobs that needed doing and
enjoying some cardmaking whilst eating that yummy chocolate the bunny dropped off!

Until next time
Happy stamping

INKspired Sketch Blog hop 90 -

Hello and welcome to another INKspired hop on sunday night. This is the first day since thursday that we have got above 10 degrees C - keeping the winter gear out. Now it is raining which we so need ...
You may have hopped across from Narelle and I think she may be featuring new product - can't wait to see.
Image may contain: text
Well I found this sketch hard and I am still not sure why... perhaps because the stamp I wanted to use was not working

So started again using the Owl stamp which is in the Holiday catalogue page 41. The stamp is called Still Night and it has Night Owl Thinlits as well that come in a bundle that saves 10% - see below so cute.

Recipe:
1. Main card is Soft Suede.
2. Then cut a piece of Wood textures 6" by 6" DSP and adhered to a piece of Blushing Bride .
3. Put it through the big shot with the Corrugated Dynamic Textured embossing folder.
4.Cut two pieces of Very Vanilla and adhered them together.
5. Cut the branch from the Wood Textures DSP on page 191 of the Main Catalogue.
6. Stamped the owl onto crumbcake cardstock using a combo of colours Gray Granite and Soft Suede.
7. Used the Birthday friend stamp from the Darling Label Punch box on page 209 of main cattie on sale whilst stock
lasts.

Thank you for popping in

Now it is onto Allison and I can't wait to see what she has made for tonight

Until next time
Happy stamping

Animal Outing - Rhino here I come

I am loving the Animal Outing stampset and here are a few more cards based on the Rhino.
If you click here you will go to my Giraffe card that I made using the beautiful Berry Burst  & Basic Black cardstock.
It is such a lovely stampset.

Love using Soft Suede cardstock as the base. Layering square framelits are so good to use when cutting out the rhino. Daffodil Delight is the colour used behind.
Used the Tailored Tag punch for the words from Beautiful You stampset and the  Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions folder.
Now with this card kept the base the same but used the Scattered Sequins Embossing folder and the Pretty Label Punch for the words. The words for this card have come from the Love What You Do Stampset.

Hope you have enjoyed these two Rhino cards.
Coming soon will be my favourite "Skippy the kanagroo with Katie the Koala".

Until next time
Happy stamping
