GDP Challenge 29 - You're So Lovely

Had some spare time this weekend so thought I would join in with the
# GDP029 challenge.
Hmmm, what were you thinking Bruno to put these colours together in a challenge!
Here is the colour challenge
Bruno set us all - why don't you give it ago
Just pop over to the Global Design Project page

I used Bermuda Bay for my main card.

Used the You're So Lovely stampset - love the Happy Birthday.
Sponged around the edge of the card in Early Espresso that had been sponged off first and then used the Tangelo Twist ink for more sponging.
The Timeless Texture stampset used the leaf stamp that I had inked up and stamped off twice till I had the softness I wanted in colour.
Used the dots from Gorgeous Grunge that had been stamped off for area inside the sponging.
Punched some flowers using the flower from  the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and topped them with pearls.
Had to sponge some Tangelo Twist ink onto the white cardstock as I had no Tangelo Twist cardstock left.

Thank you
for stopping by

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 36 -

Welcome to our blog hop this fortnight.
Thanks for joining in and please do take the time to hop around all the posts
You may have hopped across from Narelle
and I always love what she makes.
I was lucky enough to be out walking with my camera
and came across this echnida..
Look how long his beak is - he was too busy finding ants to be scared of me!

Teneale has designed a lovely sketch this fortnight

I started with my base card of Pink Pirouette. I adhered my long sections of Pink Pirouette onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock which I ran thru the Big Shot using the gorgeous Softly Falling textured Embossing Folder
I actually debossed it (the dots are inwards)
I then adhered onto another layer of Basic Black

I had stamped the lovely flower from the Birthday Blooms stampset onto Shimmery White cardstock using the Basic Black Archival stampin' pad.
I then watercoloured it in using the Aqua Painters
(Make sure it is dry before you add the next layer of colour)
I then fussy cut the flower out and adhered over the panels.
The words Just because come from A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and were stamped using the Black Archival ink onto the Pink Pirouette cardstock with a piece of Venetian Crochet Trim attached underneath.
I do like that bit of lace peeking out.....

This card will be in the mail tommorrow
to my niece, Cassandra whose birthday it is today.
Happy happy birthday Cassie.xxx

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 35 - A Surprise!

Hi Everyone
and welcome to our INKspired Blog hop number 35.
You may have joined the hop here so welcome or you may have hopped
across from the delightful Narelle
can't wait to see what she makes this fortnight!

Here is the sketch Teneale has given us....
Well it was a surprise because I didn't know what
to make....
and I ended up making two cards as I wasn't happy with
the first one.

I wanted to use Rose Red cardstock as the base
and had to use the lovely Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack
The picture above shows the crumbcake DSP
It was the oval I was having the block on!
I layered the DSP onto a smaller piece of Rose Red and attached a
piece of the Venetian Crochet Trim
over the DSP.
I rarely use the Garden Green ink for my cards
BUT it was one of the colours on the front of the
DSP paperstack - Love how Stampin' Up! put the colours on!
I cut my Whisper White oval out and sponged around the edge with Rose Red
Stamped the leaves from Grateful Bunch Stampset
onto the oval and stamped the set of three flowers
from same set in Rose Red, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight
and punched them out with the Blossom Bunch Punch (So easy).

Placed dimensionals under the oval and then used mini glue dots to adhere my flowers with.
I used the words Wish Big from the
A Dozen Thoughts stampset
On one card you will see that I used
Pearls for the flower centres instead of one at each end of the oval (perhaps I am a Rebel!)
and for the other card used the gorgeous

It's My Party Enamel Dots on the flowers of course!
Below I have a picture of them together
Let me know which card you like....

Some old fashioned Red Roses that have the most beautiful perfume.
Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto the wonderful Barbara and I am not guessing what she has
made this week
but I do know it will be beautiful

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 34 -

Hi Everyone, welcome to our hop #INK034,
it always amazes me how fast the fortnight goes...
You may have joined the hop here so welcome or you may have joined from the delightful Marlene
Can't wait to see what she has made

Here is another great sketch that Teneale has done for us - she is so creative!
I would still be doodling on the page deciding

love having a sketch to work with...

For this sketch I started with Real Red cardstock and stuck a piece of Real Red DSP that was 2cm smaller on to the front.
Couldn't get the small rectangles looking good - so I went bigger..
way bigger than the sketch!

Stamped the leaves from the Number of Years stamp set in Pear Pizzaz onto the Whisper White cardstock.
I then used Melon Mambo,Daffodil Delight and Wisteria Wonder for the small flowers.

Stamped the Happy Birthday from the same stampset in the Archival Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock and attached it under the flower bouquet.
Love the It's My Party Enamel Dots for the centre of the flowers and at each end of the words.
Looking at it now perhaps less enamel dots may have been better...

Finally some flowers from one of my gardens these are called Redhot Pokers (real name Kniphofia or Tritoma) - they are magnificent.
Thank you for stopping by to look at our hop.

Now it is onto the talented Barbara and  I can't wait to see

what she has in store for us

Below is what I have used to make my card.

Just Add Ink #296....Just Add Nature

I am liking the sound of Just Add Nature in the
JAI#296 challenge
this week and thought I would join in.
There are some gorgeous cards in the link so hop over and have a look.
I thought I would keep it simple and use the Sale-A-Bration set
called Flowering Fields that comes in wood mounted or clear.
I decided to use the Stampin' Write Markers direct to the rubber on the stamps...gave them a huff to remoisten the ink, then stamped on the Whisper White cardstock......
Used Real Red for the flower and Old Olive for the stem and leaves

I wanted the outline of the stamp in its simplicity.
Used some beautiful Sahara Sand lace trim
across the card.

Stamped Happy Birthday from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set
using the new Archival Basic Black ink pad which is a permanent ink onto the Whisper White cardstock and attached over the lace.

Thank you for stopping by

Bye for now

Case the Designer Connie Collins #GDP020

Hi Everyone, I have finally found time to make a card for the
This week we are casing Connie Collins card below
The word CASE means to me is that I was going to
 Copy and Selectively Edit.
On my card the white circles (Bokeh technique)
are seen as the little gold hearts..
Tried to work in the stripes but alas they had to go
as they were blocking my background
I then wanted to use a star but it had to sparkle...
as the centre piece -  glimmer paper to the rescue.
Love the words in the SAB- Sky is the Limit stamp set.
The congratulations was just what I needed!

Hard to photograph at night with all the sparkle from the star! So waited till this morning and it has been raining...
Thank you for joining me.
