INK 110 Favourite Holiday Stamp Set -

Well hello everyone - we are doing our favourites from the new 2019 Holiday Catalogue that will be coming out on the 3rd January 2020.
My order has not arrived yet but I picked up some goodies at Onstage last Saturday that I will be showing you.

You may have hopped across from the lovely Julie Martin and I can't wait to see what she has picked as her favourite or might that be favourites....
Well I was lucky to win this lovely stampset below as my Prize Patrol - Forever Blossoms and it is made for colouring!!
Started with a base card of Flirty Flamingo and then a smaller layer that was run through the Subtle 3D embossing folder and sponged around the edge with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Used the Shimmery white cardstock and stamped the flower in Memento ink and coloured using the Stampin Blend combos of Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green. I cut the flower panel out using the Stitched Rectangles.

 The word love was cut using circle from the Stitched Shapes. I then used a scallop circle  in Flirty Flamingo from the Layering Circles. #simplestamping challenge for November is stamps,ink,paper and an embellishment (which is my word).

The new catalogue coming in the first week of 2020.

Thank you for stopping by -
 Now it is onto the lovely Teneale Williams and I am always  amazed by what she makes for the hop.

Until next time

INKspired Sketch Challenge 109 -

Christmastime Is Here Product Suite

Welcome to our INKspired sketch blog hop this sunday night. I cannot believe it is November already but the weather we have been having is very wintery with snow and rain. My heart goes out to everyone that has been affected by the bushfires - stay safe! Now you may have hopped across from Julie Martin and I can't wait to see what she has made for the hop  tonight. Don't forget to pop around to everyone's blog and we would love it if you leave some kind words for us all.

Well I am loving the Christmastime is here suite that is available this month only or while stocks last- click here to see it. I had to use some of the gorgeous speciality DSP for my card that I cut with the Roses Dies - so quick and easy to make cards with. I haven't been making Christmas cards with the suite but instead birthday cards as roses are one of my favourite flowers.

Started with Cherry Cobbler as my base card and then cut another piece that I embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder

Edged it with small pieces of another sheet of DSP that was scalloped using a die from
the Budding Blooms Dies

A piece of linen thread wrapped around twice and tied in a bow.

Thank you for stopping by -
 Now it is onto the lovely Kozue Smith and I always love what she makes for the hop.

Until next time

Purple Posy inkpad and refill has been retired

Despite Stampin' Up's best efforts to resolve issues with Purple Posy ink, we have learned that the ink colour is still shifting over time. This means that the colour is coordinating more loosely than they typically allow with colours. Due to these ongoing challenges, they have decided to discontinue Purple Posy classic ink. After 6 November 2019, the following items will no longer be available to purchase:
  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 150084)
  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 150091)
  • 2019–2021 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pad Assortment (item 150087)

The three item numbers listed above may still appear in the 2020–2021 annual catalogue but will not be orderable,

Stampin' Up! is unable to replace Purple Posy ink pads for customers or for us (the demonstrators) who have already received them.
However, anyone with concerns regarding the colour shifting properties of their Purple Posy ink pads may contact Demonstrator Support and they can offer a $13.00 aud coupon code as compensation.
The coupon codes will expire on 1 January 2020.

Good news we can still order all the other Purple Posy products (such as Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker, Purple Posy Cardstock, Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends, etc.) as they will remain available for purchase.

Just some background information regarding the testing of Stampin' Up! ink colours:
All of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive ink colours are run through a vigorous series of tests to get ahead of challenges like this, and to ensure colours are accurate and meet their standards of coordination. Purple Posy did pass regular testing standards in time-simulating ovens, but they have now identified that it fell short when it came to actual time passing. The colour begins to shift once the ink has rested in the ink pad for about six weeks.
It is rare for Stampin’ Up! or our ink manufacturer to have such persistent issues with ink; Purple Posy has certainly been an anomaly.
Stampin' Up! has completed full testing on 11 distinct batches of Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink before releasing the current version. They are now confident that no additional efforts would uphold our coordination needs over time. Stampin' Up appreciates your patience as they have worked through this manufacturing difficulty and regret that they are unable to share better news with us all.

Stampin' Up! has amazing ink colours that match beautifully with the cardstock so check out pages 162 - 164 inclusive. I love the other purples we have which includes Gorgeous Grape & Highland Heather. Next week I will have a card that uses Gorgeous Grape - so stay tuned!
If you have any queries give me a ring on 0400 883 897.

Until next time

New Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer is available for customers 1st November...

10.22.19_HEADER_PAPER_TRIMMER_ENG
Wow I received my trimmer this week and all I can say it wow wow!
I am loving it - can easily cut two pieces of cardstock at the same time.

Now for some information about it:

- The metal cutting blade piece is significantly longer than the old one - a V shape;
- The weight is much lighter than the old one;
- It's about an inch narrower;
- It has a kind of sideways diamond shape opening  at the top that would allow it to be hung for storage - see picture below;
- The cutting guide snaps down to hold it closed for locking instead of a slide button on the end to lock it;
- The extension arm does not need a "foot" to keep it steady when extended;
- The Extension arm, when in closed position allows paper to butt against it at the 6" mark which is great for measuring smaller pieces;
- The 6" position on the rule mark has a little arrow pointing at the 6" line so it is very clear where the measurement is, making the jump from the board onto the extension arm easier to read for more accuracy;
- The extension arm locks into place by pressing down slightly and moving it into a grove at the tip of the arm near the SU logo;
-The "pressure lip" of the cutting guide is in a better position to prevent the blade getting "stuck" when pressing down to hold paper in place for cutting;
- The scoring blade has a better scoring implement its rounded so scoring is very smooth (you can't event tell you are scoring!) and it gives a better score line
-Less likely to cause certain DSP to tear after scoring.
- It's very streamlined and because of its even rectangular design it will be much easier to pack and fit into a storage space in a more compact way.

INKspired Combo Colour Challenge 108 -

So hello and welcome to the INKspired blog hop this sunday night. I an away so hoping my blog posted with no issues!
You may have hopped from Allison McLeod and this is her Colour Combo - great work Allison.

I chose to use the stampset called Over the Moon as it reminds me of growing up on a farm and milking cows morning and night.

I chose Purple Posy as my base card and embossed a piece with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder . Sponged around the edge of the embossed piece with Purple Posy. I satmped the cute cow on whisper white cut out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (that is a mouthful to say and write - but they are cute). I also cut a larger one in Merry Merlot and attached to the back of my cow.

I stamped in Bermuda Bay onto the Sahara Sand cardstock and cut it with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. I coloured parts of my cow - Daisy with Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Write Markers.

Thank you for stopping by and please check out everyone's blog.

Now it is onto Kozue Smith and I love seeing what she makes

INKspired Sketch Challenge 107 -

Hello and welcome to the INKspired sketch  hop tonight. I cannot believe  that September is nearly over....
You may have hopped across from Julie Martin so welcome and I can't wait to see what she has made. Now below is the sketch that Teneale has given us tonight - I looked at it but didn't realise the thread/ribbon went across the card....

I have been loving using a lot of Designer Series Paper this month due to the great special - Buy 3 get 1 free.

I started with the Magnolia Designer Series paper and added it to Basic Black cardstock.

I then flipped the sameDSP over and added it to another piece of Basic Black cardstock and added a linen thread bow. Some pearls finished it off.

Stamped the small Magnolia flowers from the Magnolia Bundle and then cut them out with the dies - so easy. Coloured with the Blends using So Saffron and Light Flirty Flamingo for the flower and Mossy Meadow with a touch of Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

Used the word Congratulations from the New Wonders stampset that you can get only as a Host and embossed it with the Shimmer White Stampin' Emboss powder.

Hope you enjoyed my card - thank you for stopping by.

Now it is onto Kozue Smith and I look forward to seeing what she has made.

Until next time

INKspired Colour Challenge 106 -

Hello and welcome to another INKspired challenge and this fortnight is a colour one and aren't those colours lovely together. Now you may have popped across from Julie Martin and I can't wait to see the amazing creation she has made.
Teneale has given us a great colour combo - I decided to team the colours with the stampset Floral Essence which is photopolymer.

Started with a base of Pool Party and then embossed a piece of Flirty Flamingo with the Eyelet Lace embossing folder - which when you look closely has flowers in it - so cute!

I then cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo DSP and layered it over the embossed cardstock. Than I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and cut one in Pool Party and a smaller one in Whisper White. I stamped the words in Basic Gray and the flowers in Flirty Flamingo with Crushed Curry centres.

The Flirty Flamingo DSP is from the Brights 6" by 6" collection where you can see below the different designs - love these great little packs.

Now it is onto Allison McLeod and
let's see what gorgeous inspiration she has made with these colours

Until next time
