ESAD Designer Series Paper buy 3, get 1 free promotion blog hop -

Hi and welcome to another amazing ESAD blog hop. This one is featuring the Designer Series paper where you can buy 3 and get one free - only for the month of July. Click here to see the ones that are available for this promotion.
Now you are thinking what is ESAD? It stands for Extra Special Australiasian Demonstrators and at the end of my blog is a more detailed explanation - please take the time to have a read.
Now you may have popped across from my friend Barb and I can't wait to see what she has made.
It was such a hard decision on what paper to use but I went with one that you can get for free  when you buy 3 called
Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper 146338

Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper

Just a close up of the papers with leaves on them.

Love the patterns and the colours in the DSP and that the colours used are on the back - how good is that!
I love using the Curtain fold so my first card used that with the lovely Mint Macaron as the base card with the birthday wishes stamped in Cajun Craze.
To stop the fold being through the complete piece of dsp. I scored at 3" and then placed the top edge at 1 1/2" mark and then tilted the bottom till it was at the 3" score mark and cut the bottom piece off.
Then continued on with my score marks at 4",6",7",9"and 10". My original piece was 4" by 11 1/2 " as I wanted some Mint Macaron showing on each edge of the fold.
Used the lovely framelit from the Stitched Labels on page 220 - wanted a small Birthday Wishes so it didn't cover the folds.

Then I used the piece I had cut off and placed across the Cajun Craze and cut the extra off. The leaves from the Nature's Roots framelits -page 218 were just what I needed to balance the pearlized Doily (I sponged the edge in Cajun Craze - hard to see in the photos).

Just a close up of the leaves from the Rooted in Nature Bundle - page 143.

Now it is onto Libby and I can't wait to see her creation and then seeing what everyone has made. If you get lost in the blog hop just click on the participant list below which will get you back on track.

INKspired Sketch Blog hop 80 -

Hi and welcome to our INKspired blog hop this sunday night. The weather has been blowing a gale at times and very cold here in the Snowy Mountains - we have had -6 degrees C of a morning! It is winter so we have to expect the cold.
I have been missing from the blog hops due to issues with intermittent internet access but fingers crossed it has been fixed. So glad to be back and blogging again...
You may have come across from the delightful Allison and I am wondering what she has been making  for tonight - can't wait to see.
The sketch we all use is below and developed by Teneale for us to use.

Love the new Animal Outing stampset and teamed it with Berry Burst and Basic Black cardstock.

This giraffe is so cute and coloured with Stampin' Blends.
Run the smaller piece of Berry Burst through with the Layered Leaves Embossing folder - love using this folder!

Thank you for stopping by

Now it is onto Barbara and I can't wait to see what she has made.

Until next time
Happy stamping

INKspired Sketch Blog hop 77 -

Hi and welcome to our INKspired blog hop this sunday night. The weather has turned it has been blowing a gale and the cold has come in. We have had such warm days of 28 degrees celsius that the change has been hard.
You may have come across from the delightful Allison and I am wondering what she has been making  for tonight - can't wait to see.
The sketch we all use is below and is developed by Teneale.

I had issues with the internet over the weekend so was lucky to upload my pics. So on Monday I have gone back in and added my recipe for my card and another picture.

Blooms & Wishes Photopolymer Stamps
Blooms & Wishes is such a gorgeous set and is available still but is "while supplies last".
Measurements for my card:
1. Base layer Melon Mambo 14.8cm by 10.5cm when folded.
2. Next layer Melon Mambo was stamped with the Diagonal Stripe in Versamark  - 8cm wide by 12cm.
3. 1cm wide piece of Basic Black.
4. Flourish Thinlit long with half circles cut in Melon Mambo and adhered to the back of the Basic Black.
5. Then adhered to the top of the Diagonal striped piece of Melon Mambo and then tied a piece of linen thread around it and finished with a bow.
6. A stitched circle  cut in Very Vanilla and stamped with words and flowers from Blooms & Wishes.
7. Attached to a scallop circle of Basic Black.

Now it is onto Renee to see what she has made using
Picture Perfect Birthday
Until next time
Happy stamping

INKspired Sketch Blog hop 76 -

Hi and welcome to our INKspired hop on Easter Sunday. Hope you have had a lovely day and not too full (sick) from all those Easter eggs!
You may have hopped across from Allison and I am wondering what products she has used. I am missing my Sale-A-Bration goodies already but weren't the stamps, paper , thinlits and card packs amazing this year!

Now here is the sketch that Teneale has given us this fortnight to use.
Started with Marina Mist as the base for my card.
Cut another piece that was 14.4cm by 10.1cm and ran it through the  Layered Leaves Dynamic folder and then stuck it firmly down.
Adhered a small strip of Basic Black  that was 3.7cm wide by 14.4cm down left hand side.

Cut a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Marina Mist both to the size of 7.5cm by 11.3cm.Twisted them slightly so the Marina Mist was peaking out.
Used the little leaf design from the Little Loves Framelits with Marina Mist.
Cut a small piece of Basic Black that was 0.6cm wide and attached over the leaf design and adhered at the top.

Stamped the words from the Picture Perfect Birthday stampset  using Memento ink. Then the flowers and leaves from the Perennial Birthday stampset and coloured them in using my Stampin' Blends.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Now it is onto Barb
Until next time
Happy stamping

Last day of Sale-a-Bration - what fun it has been

Hello everyone
Just wanted to pop in on this last day (31st March) of Sale-a-Bration for another year (sigh..) and show you one of the sets in the 2nd release that has become a favourite of mine. When you spend $90.00 before postage it is a set that you can choose but only online until just before midnight today.
It is the Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set that comes in either wood (147335) or clear mount (147338). It reminds me of a retired set called Gorgeous Grunge that I loved using.

Eclectic Expressions Clear-Mount Stamp Set
Love the way you can use the different shapes in this set.
The card below is a take on the popular eclipse card except it doesn't use single letters. An Eclipse card is where you stamp the background with whatever you would like. You then cut the word or letters out and then pop them up on Stampin' Dimensionals. If you look closely I have stuck the middle of the 'b' and 'a' down flat.

I used the word celebrate from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.

Celebrate You Thinlit Dies

Now these Dies will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue that becomes available on 1st June. For us Demos going to Onstage next weekend we will receive our catalogue early - can't wait!

If you don't have a Demonstrator in Australia and would like a catalogue drop me a line at

mareescards@gmail.com

Until next time
Happy stamping
